There are many frameworks and approaches you can use when looking at your external environment. DESTEP Analysis is a variant on the commonly used PESTLE tool, which itself has numerous names from PEST through to STEEPLE. These models are essentially designed to achieve the same thing – to give you a clear indication of what you need to consider when doing your business planning.
This video looks at what DESTEP Analysis is and explains how it focuses around the demographics within the environment and arguably less so on Legal/Polticial compared to the original PESTLE Analysis.
